Being outdoors when camping can be a real adventure. Unfortunately, there are some times when it just gets too hot or too cold.

The first thing you need to do is pack everything you are going to need. Here is a list of the most important camping essentials you will need for an enjoyable camping trip.

Cooking when camping

If you decide to purchase a camping tent, make sure you choose a durable one. You can find a good collection of good quality tents at Aussie Camping Store.

I would also recommend getting a double sleeping bag for winter and an inflatable sleeping bag for summer. Depending on where you camp, you might want to get more than one tent.

A cooking tent could be a useful addition in extreme climates. Cooking equipment is another big item on your camping essentials checklist.

Cooking tents, gas grills, camp stoves, and camping cookware are also not to be forgoten camping essentials.

For comfortable camping

When packing your drinking water, consider purchasing a bag or two of ice cubes in your camping essentials kit.

There are countless times when you might end up without water and this could serve as an emergency water supply.

Sleeping bags may not be enough if you decide to sleep in a tent in a inhospitable climate.

Make sure you have at least a couple of blankets and toilet paper for comfortable camping.

The right food is important when you go camping. A good camping meal plan includes some meat sticks, a variety of vegetables, bread, crackers, and eggs.

Pack some juice and coffee also. It never hurts to have some powdered milk or a small can of soda just in case.

Next on your camping essentials checklist should be your camp cooking equipment.

Your camp cooking supplies should include a variety of pots and pans, a large variety of spices (such as cinnamon for a delicious breakfast).

Beans, some cans of tuna packed in oil, and dried fruit like raisins and dates. Be sure to include basic survival items like a blanket, sleeping bag, and pad.

A good camping essentials list should include at least one emergency food supply such as an emergency granola bar or similar snack such as trail mix.

Getting away? Why not stock up on canned goods. Campers will find eating canned food a treat after several days of being out in the wild.

There’s nothing wrong with eating canned foods either so stock up on them.

Campfire cooking

Camping cook ware includes pots and pans, stoves and grills, ice chests for food storage and freezing, utensils (sink, spoon, fork, spatula, bottle opener), cutlery, plates and silverware.

You also don’t want to be without some kitchen linens (linen, towels, dishcloths etc.), cups, glasses, plates and dishes.

Your camping essentials list should include everything you need for cooking, and if it does n’t, you can rent or borrow from a friend or family member.

If you don’t want to buy, most campgrounds offer portable stoves that you can take with you. Most are small enough to fit in your car trunk.

Camping sleeping bags

Camping sleeping bags are an essential part of any camping trip. You want to make sure that your sleeping bags will keep you warm and comfortable no matter what the weather is like.

This means you’ll want to find camping equipment that’s rated for temperatures between zero degrees Fahrenheit to seventy degrees Fahrenheit.

If you spend a lot of time camping during summer, you’ll also want to make sure you pack plenty of extra liquids for cooling down after a hot day.

Cooling pads, a small refrigerator, a couple of liters of water and a sleeping bag should be all you need to have plenty of drinking water and a warm sleeping bag.

Camping first aid

If you’re planning on an extended stay, you may want to consider bringing along a first aid kit, fire starter, bug spray, a hiking stick, a folding shovel, a compass and a cell phone along with your other camping essentials.

A day trip out to get away from home is a great idea to get away from the daily grind and unwind. But if you’re going to take a long trip, you’ll need to make sure that you are prepared for whatever happens.

Whether it’s snakes, bugs or other wildlife you must be ready to handle them. And if a crisis does happen, you will need to have an emergency kit with you to handle any medical emergencies.
